2026 Planning Dataset to Become Default on November 12

The preview period for the 2026 Planning Dataset will end on Wednesday, November 11. Beginning Thursday, November 12, the 2026 Planning Dataset will become the default transactional planning dataset within the Geopath Insights Suite and API, reflecting an extensive evaluation by the Geopath team and ongoing feedback from our members.

As the transition date approaches, Geopath continues to refine the dataset. We’re working with our roadside data provider, Bentley Systems, to review vehicular circulation, pedestrian circulation, and speed data for several thousand frames highlighted by members. This review may result in updates to audience estimates in the coming months.

Additionally, please be aware that frames in high-foot-traffic areas may show noticeable differences in pedestrian audience impressions compared to the 2025 dataset, thanks to enhanced measurement methodologies and updated data sources.

We appreciate everyone’s participation throughout the preview period. It gave the industry the chance to evaluate the updated dataset, get familiar with the revised audience metrics, and prepare for implementation.
