Our past three Friday Fast Facts have focused on extending our gratitude toward different groups of essential workers, ranging from healthcare professionals, grocery store employees and transportation and warehousing employees. These groups may be doing different work, but they are both risking their health and safety to do their jobs and support the rest of us.

For today’s post, we want to focus on another group that deserves recognition, a group that is always essential, but may not always get enough credit for all they do; the teachers and educational workers around the country. While this group may not be going outside and working in their classrooms, they have changed their work schedules and made sacrifices to continue educating their students.

According to data from Esri, there are close to 13 million workers who are employed within various positions in the educational services field around the country. Over the past few months, they have quickly evolved their learning plans, adapting to a distance learning model to continue teaching their classes. The transition to working virtually is something that many of us have now become used to, and this is no different for teachers who are hosting online classes.

They’re keeping the education system running, allowing students of all ages to continue their education through these troubling times, and for that, they deserve our thanks.

These are unprecedented times, and Geopath is prepared to support the OOH industry in whatever ways we can. One of the ways we can provide assistance is through our data and insights, pulled from our own tools, or through our other extensive resources.
