Geopath Market Spotlight | Orlando-Daytona DMA
GeekOUT Fast Fact Friday

For today’s GeekOUT Fast Fact, let’s take a look at one of the biggest markets in Florida: Orlando. The Orlando-Daytona DMA is the 18th largest in the country.

According to Geopath Insights, there are more than 9,000 spots measured by Geopath within the Orlando market, which generates over 1.3 billion impressions each week!

Well known for its wide variety of theme parks, attractions and destination resorts, the Orlando market poses a unique opportunity to reach tourists and locals alike. With a population of nearly 4.5 million, and 43% of all commuting trips within the DMA taking 30 minutes or more, it isn’t surprising that advertisers are taking advantage of OOH in the Orlando-Daytona DMA to reach both of these distinctive groups.

Let’s look at who is spending in OOH within the DMA for Q1 of 2021.

Due to the Disney corporation’s large footprint and presence in the area, it’s not surprising that they occupy the top spot in OOH spend. It’s also worth noting that there are several local and Florida-specific groups in this list as well. Based on these spenders, OOH’s impact and reach are being well utilized to spread local news and awareness within the DMA.

Geopath has compiled OOH advertising spend data for Q1 of 2021 sourced from Kantar for the DMA, as well infographics for this and all 200+ DMAs across the country. These insights, along with many more, are available to Geopath members in our GeekOUT Library.
