COVID Mobility Update (August 27th)
Average miles traveled daily is 94% of the travel occurring prior to COVID-19 restrictions.
Today we are sharing an updated version of the Daily Mobility tracking report that we have been releasing weekly over the past four months, refreshed with data through the week of August 17th.
According to the data, the average miles traveled daily across the US continues to remain stable, up 75% versus the April low.
Average miles traveled on weekdays has remained between 17.1 and 17.5 over the last 10 weeks, surpassing levels seen mid-March. Saturday distance traveled held steady for the week, while Sunday distance traveled decreased, but remains at a level seen in early March.
