Geopath Market Spotlight | Albuquerque-Santa Fe DMA
GeekOUT Fast Fact Friday
For today’s GeekOUT Fast Fact, let’s take a look at a DMA that makes up nearly the entire of the state of New Mexico – the Albuquerque-Santa Fe DMA.
Let’s first take a look at some more specifics about this DMA!
With two national parks, vast desert terrain, and a rich history, the Albuquerque market provides a unique opportunity to reach visitors and locals alike. According to Geopath Insights, there are nearly 5,000 spots measured by Geopath within the Albuquerque market, which generate close to 400 million impressions each week!
Additionally, with a population of 2 million, and roughly one-third of all commuting trips within the DMA taking 30 minutes or more, it is clear why advertisers are taking advantage of OOH in the market to reach people as they move about their days.
Let’s now look at who is spending in OOH within the DMA for Q2 of 2021.
It’s interesting to note that 3 out the top 5 spenders on OOH in the DMA are casinos. Given how much of the state this DMA takes up, it’s also worth noting that none of the top spenders nationally appear in this group. It seems that many local and state-wide businesses are seeing the value OOH can bring when appealing to local targets.
Both the OOH spending reports, and DMA Infographics can be accessed by Geopath members in our geekOUT Library. If you are not currently a Geopath member, please reach out to us on [email protected] to find out how you can access this information.
